Electromagnetic locks

Electromagnetic locks which can be obtained in a variaty of appearances and with different properties. The magnetic door locks have holding forces from 50 kg to over 1000 kg. These types of locks doesn’t have any moving parts which is a big advantage as you eliminate potential error sources.

The big holding force of a magnetic door lock ensures that the door is kept closed when needed but it’s also easy to open when power is cut off, an advantage in emergency exits.

These are the main groups of electromagnetic locks:
Cabinet magnet
These relatively small magnets have holding forces up to 100 kg and are suitable for use in confined areas such as cabinets and drawers in e.g. trade, offices and industries.
Mini magnet
The holding force in these types of magnets are from 300 kg to 600 kg in double magnet versions. Typical applications are emergency exits in trade, offices, industries and nursing homes. These magnets can be obtained with monitoring outputs e.g. door locked or unlocked, door opened or closed.
Sliding door magnet
These magnets are adapted for use in sliding doors of any kind. The holding force are up to 300 kg. Two variants: flushed or surface mounting. These magnets can also be obtained with monitoring outputs e.g. door locked or unlocked, door opened or closed.
Maxi magnets
The holding force in these types of magnets are from 600 kg to 1200 kg in double magnet versions. Typical applications are emergency exits in e.g. sport centers. These magnets can also be obtained with monitoring outputs e.g. door locked or unlocked, door opened or closed.
Shearlock magnets
A shearlock magnet is a electromagnetic high security lock with a holding force up to 1000 kg. These locks can be used in any kind of door including swingdoors. The unique design of these locks combine magnetic and mechanical forces which makes for high holding force while keeping the lock size to a minimum
