SAFETRON hybrid technology

The SAFETRON SL620 has a patented hybrid technology that enables the change of the latch bolt position. This means that the lock can be used together with strike plates and door sets adapted for both the ASSA connect and ASSA classic module series. I.e. both older and newly produced doors. It is easy to adjust the latch bolt placement, as easy as a traditional changing the latch bolt orientation from left to right. Two screws in the forend and the latch bolt fixing screw are loosened, change the position of the latch bolt, the inner forend is then rotated 180° and the parts can be reinstalled.

Split and simple function

The SAFETRON SL620 is adjustable between single function which provides electrical activation from both sides and split function which means that the outside handle is electrically controlled while the inside handle always is mechanically engaged and thus always allows for a mechanical exit. Using the lock in split function eliminates the need for an opening button or access control upon exit.

Certified holding force

The SAFETRON SL620 has a certified breaking strength according to Grade 3 in the European standard SS-EN 14846. Grade 3 is the highest level for which this type of solenoidlås be tested, which guarantees safety in door environments where the SL620 is suitable.

SAFETRON SL620 is the next generation of multifunctional solenoidlås split function and patented hybrid technology.

Typical applications are internal locking of high-frequency doors in commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, industries and multi-family dwellings where high reliability is necessary.

Indication is given for interlocking, handle movement, door status through magnetic contact and knob indication. The knob indication makes it possible to remove the alarm in case of unauthorized cylinder passage. The SL620 is available in fail secure or fail safe function (SL621).

The lowest power consumption on the market

The SL620 has the lowest power consumption in the segment with only 40mA at 24VDC. This contributes greatly to a more cost-effective door environment, especially in larger installations where the dimensioning of transformers and battery backup can otherwise be a major cost.

SAFETRON SL620 is certified and CE marked for use in brannskille fire resistance rating of 120 minutes.

Emergency device for handle position

The SAFETRON 793 is an emergency exit handle that allows for a normal exit via the handle while providing an approved emergency exit. Indication from the handle is given via a built-in sensor to ensure that approved door cycle has taken place. The combination is certified according to SS-EN 179:2008.

Rømningsbeslag cylinder position

SAFETRON SL620 can also be used with emergency escape device 794 for the cylinder position. SAFETRON 794 is best used when the lock is set in single function, i.e. when electrical operation is required from both sides. SAFETRON 794 can also be used when the lock is set in split function. The combination is certified according to SS-EN 179:2008. Indication from the handle is possible via built-in sensors.

Traditional or design lever handles

SAFETRON SL620 can be fitted with both traditional and design lever handles without the need for them to be springloaded. This is possible thanks to the robust handle mechanism, which is also requires the least opening force in the segment - well suited for all types of public environments where people with e.g. poor grip strength visit.

Four operating modes

Turning between split right/left has never been easier. The SAFETRON SL620, with its patented function selector, has the ability to change the position between split right/left, unlocked or security mode.

The function selector has four specific positions that can be clicked through using a screwdriver.

Split

Split means that dørvrideren one side of the lock is always mechanically unlocked and can therefore always open the lock, regardless of the electronic configuration. Which side is mechanically unlocked can be adjusted via the function selector.

Construction mode

Unlocked or "construction mode" as we call it is a mode where both handles are mechanically engaged. This mode is advantageously used during construction time when the locks are not operational. This avoids unnecessary wear and tear that can occur when the lock is opened using tools instead.

Locked

'LOCKED' indicates the security mode (otherwise known as single function) where both handles are locked and electronically controlled meaning that access control is required from both sides. This is a way to further enhance security and surveillance.
